TAKING WORLDIES🧤
Couple of steps that might help with you taking some blinders in the future:
🧤 SETUP - Vital that we get into an explosive position here. Whilst hands don’t need to touch the floor, our knee bend has to be decent in order to generate that push off power!
🧤 TOE; HIP OPEN - If we’re looking to get ourselves across we need to open up that outside hip and foot in or to get a decent push off, not doing this will result in us being unable to move as effectively as we would like!
🧤 PUSH ACROSS, NOT DOWN - Often I find keepers just fall rather than push themselves across. If we thick about mass distance going across, we will be winning!
🧤 CATCH IN FRONT OF EYES - It can be easy to throw our hand behind us but as soon as we lose sight of the ball it’s going to make the catch so much harder. Looking to catch on a positive angle in front of our eyes will certainly help!
🧤 BRING THE HIP ROUND - Often I see the outside knee hit the floor first, this is a no as it’s the same as falling to the ground rather than pushing off. Keep that knee off the ground and drive your other hip round the front in order to get a smooth roll.
Josh here with a superb take 👏👏
We recognise a certain name on here, #18! Congratulations to former pupil and Cricket captain JB, ironically who is coming back to school next week for his work experience, let’s hope he can provide some words of wisdom for our Cricketers in their county finals next week!
