@AllKindsWeather I called this clown out 2 months ago. blocked me instantly, I knew right away. This guy has NEVER played a sport on any type of field in his life. No I’m actually being serious…who allows people like this to have AP voting “power”? They should be the ones who are investigated 🤡
One call has nothing to do with the other in my opinion. I don’t think the officials are doing 1 with the other in mind. But I agree, LK should NOT have been issued a flag in that instance. I was just pointing out that there was an eligible receiver in the area. I put it in the same boat as purposely throwing a screen down near the feet of a back on a screen play.
That rule was installed in college BEFORE it was put into the NFL. Lubin launched, so therefore he had no control of NOT landing his entire body weight on the QB. That rule has been in effect for more than a decade. You avoid this penalty by NOT launching at the QB. Just run through him or get your head off to the side
@JameyDoyle@TheOnlySweeney@LvilleSprtsLive@ESPN680@939TheVille #4 was 5 yards away from where the ball landed. QB’s will get the benefit of the doubt in these calls. This also shows Lubin launching his entire body at the QB which causes him to land his entire body weight on top of him
This is EXACTLY right. DE’s are starting to climb as high in the pocket as he is and anchoring down (not letting him roll out to the right. Making him stay in the pocket limits those explosive plays as well as getting hits on him and making him throw in a hurry (both INT’s - 1 saved by DPI). People wil l copy this game plan & most of these teams have greater team speed & better pass rushers. Still had good numbers yesterday but definitely limited offensive production by prolonging drives (which then invite stupid penalties that we ALWAYS have). Teams will gladly let him roll left because he simply can’t throw the ball well going that way (1st INT). For such a great athlete this is pretty surprising
No it’s not facts, I unfortunately read it. CJB is not a successful HC. Head coaches control the discipline of the team & he should have put an end to it 2 years ago. It’s still happening & perhaps getting worse. Jeff will NEVER give up play calling. He’s an offensive coordinator posing as a head coach. That’s completely rear-ended backwards
@_Cosmicdrifter@dpence_ I’m only going to tell you this - it’s been a rule in effect for over 10 years. Not my job to figure how not to do it. Considering all of the other penalties we do, I’m sure it’s never been coached. I can guarantee UGA, BAMA, Miami, etc…sure coach it
It’s been quite obvious during the Brohm years. A legit DC & to clean up the undisciplined issues & to not lose the absurd game or 2. It hasn’t changed. That takes serious in house reflection on the real root reasons. That’s been the difference between 9-4 and 11-2. But instead CJB thinks if he can go out & get a new kind of QB toy that we can “get over the hump.” How’s that working out? He thinks solely as an offensive coordinator, that’s the issue. “Let me score more points!” That’s not what a P4 HC who gets paid 6+ mil a year do! He refuses to look inward & make tough decisions. He should forfeit being a HC & just be an OC or give up the OC title & become a disciplined CEO type HC like the others who are successful P4 coaches
@lcard86@dpence_ I agree, that shouldn’t have been called. He was definitely “in the area”. I was only showing that there was an eligible pass catcher in the area on the one play where people were saying there was no one there
@DaRealPhil8@Gocards90 It means he DOESN’T have the pulse of his team. You can’t let them ever relax. Have to be a motivator. I think CJB enjoys the calling plays part of the game - and I think that is where it ends. Miserable with media, refs, his own coaches (publicly), etc…
@dpence_ CJB needs to give the real OC title to JBB and CJB needs to become a full time HC CEO/disciplinarian. But if he does that then he can’t blame others because he will have an eye and a say in everything
Yes - we had 2 issues to address to become CFP contenders 1) proper DC hire 2) STOP these undisciplined idiotic mistakes starting from day 1 of SPRING!! What did CJB do? He went out and got himself a new kind of QB toy to play with, as if that cures all! If you look back all of the last 4 QB’s, would have been CFP QB’s “IF” those other concerns were taken care of properly. Maybe time to give up play calling to CBB and become more of a disciplinarian CEO
so SOFT to blame the refs in this game. If you can honestly think that was the reason, start some basketball previews. We made contact with the FG team because we wanted to do some fancy “stem” to make their linemen jump offsides! The reputation is out there, we will have any borderline calls go against us
@theblockspot He hasn’t thrown a single ball on time yet this season. That’s all the NFL is! You can’t scramble around and think an NFL DB will just “stop” covering receivers downfield. Not to mention he’s not even faster than the edge rushers in the league. You need to stop
