@CathRhodesReads Rhyme ‘boxes in’ a story in that metrical verse is about structure and consistency. When we write in rhyme, we don’t have as much choice in terms of how we can express an event, emotion etc. as when we write in prose or free verse. I’m a huge fan of rhyme but this is just a fact!
