Donkeys are the most beautiful, companionable and gentle souls on earth. But every year 6 million are stolen, slaughtered and skinned for fake Chinese medicine. Some people are stupid cunts.
"Five UK water companies spent more than £32mn on appeal to raise bills."
The Competition & Markets Authority ruled that 4 of those companies would be allowed to increase water bills by a further £463 million.
You gamble £32m and you make a £431m return.... good days work I'd say...

You know what I think is broken
That children of working parents have to pay for holiday club, breakfast club and after school club, in order to be able to keep working when children are off school etc
But the children of parents who don’t work, get those things for free even though they don’t need them because they’re home and can look after their children
These ‘benefits’ should be for those who work full time. Not the other way round
In the 2025–26 financial year, the UK Treasury received £331 billion in Income Tax. In the same period, the Government spent £333 billion on welfare.
This situation is clearly unsustainable and requires urgent change.
For the first time ever, we’re now spending more on welfare than we raise from those who are actually working.
We need to change course: cut the burden on hard-working taxpayers, reward their effort, and create real incentives for more people to get into work and contribute.
The current path isn’t fair — and it can’t last.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE OUT IN PUBLIC IN CENTRAL LONDON! Was stood waiting to cross the road at corner Marble Arch and Oxford Street just now and turned to see bloke on very fast electric bike heading up behind me. I turned and he turned away. I stood and watched as it was obvious what was going to happen next and sure enough, he snatched the phone of a young woman stood at the bus stop. Then off down Oxford Street for more. Face fully covered. If we had a police force in London this could easily be stopped, but instead, dozens of people a day have their lives made shit by these vermin. I’m in a shop writing this. Put your phone away on the streets. Take care. Be safe.
£48,174.
That’s how much Hounslow Council spent on a single rainbow crossing, the most expensive in England.
Meanwhile, councils claim they’re struggling to fund basic services.
Is this a justified expense, or a complete waste of taxpayer money?
"Ofwat has proved yet again it is incapable, unwilling to and simply does not want to properly regulate the greed, the abuse of customers and the financial engineering that is destroying this industry and the environment".
A little thing I said in today's @Telegraph

Instead of letting Thames Water off the hook for £123m in fines, I've got another idea. Why not ban it from paying a penny in dividends until it stops dumping shit in rivers?
Well said David Dimbleby (on the UK government’s decision to send King Charles on a State visit to the USA):
'We are dealing with a president who is a narcissist and a bully and he has been bullying Britain. He has been rude about our armed forces, about our role in Afghanistan. The King is the head of the Armed Forces and I think a rebuke of some kind is necessary.
A state banquet? While he's bombing the hell out of Iran and people are dying all over the Middle East...? I don't see that the full panoply of a state banquet and a speech at Congress is appropriate, it is a misuse of the King, who has to do what he is told by the Government. It is giving Trump more than he deserves.”
Why are we having to pay for an MOT on our cars to make sure they are roadworthy whilst we are driving on roads that are causing damage to our cars because they are becoming unroadworthy?
What’s our car tax being spent on?
Absolute bombshell. Data reveals someone made a massive 580 MILLION dollar trade on oil exactly 15 minutes BEFORE Donald Trump posted his tweet about pausing the Iran war. Someone on the inside just made a life changing fortune. The corruption is blatant.
And Devon County Council actively encourage fly tipping by banning ANY sign written van from entering ANY of their recycling sites.
I have an old toaster, broken lawnmower, broken table and other domestic household recycling items from my own home but, as my only transport is my decorators van with my name on the side, they won't let me in.
Even if my van is completely empty apart from the toaser I still won't be allowed in.
It's utterly ridiculous and MUST lead to more flytipping.
