The more divided Virginia is, the more money that is spent on consultants.

Conflicts bring more money to candidate coffers and more money to consultants pockets.

If one single party controlled the majority of seats over a decade like Republicans did 15 years ago, less money is spend and raised by Republicans.

Since democrats now control the seats, much more money will be raised in close races for Republicans.

This is why consultants want to keep power and control of the Republican Party of Virginia. They make a lot more money when seats are closely divided.

To go even further, consultants have MADE the state more competitive to democrats because if it’s not competitive, they don’t make nearly the money if Republicans controlled outright.
