most successful city in the world, with some of the highest, if not the highest, human inflow in recent history, with an economy supporting both its residents AND its visitors literally every hour of the day
Just visited manhattan NYC and here's my thoughts:
- extremely stimulating
- not very clean
- central park is awesome esp in the mornings
- you can't wear airpods it's literally too stimulating
- uber is very expensive
- hotels are ridiculous (in terms of pricing)
- not like any town out there in terms of energy tbh
- food options are incredible (in a good way)
- having solo dinner is an experience
- even if the city is slowly eroding there's nothing quite like it
- would highly recommend anyone to visit
@GohilHardy positive correlation between autonomy and risk will protect senior level roles -> the more human decisioning is off boarded to agents the more the risk to business
senior engineers are risk managers at the end of the day
@johncrickett not to mention the offboarding to agentic dev tools is astronomical. the more human eng hands off duties, tasks and responsibilities to machines, the more human supply surplus as demand diminishes
@johncrickett fair prediction but abstraction of complexity doesn’t favor human engineers long term - in 2026 engineers interface with fewer platforms, applications, interfaces etc. the dev experience itself has become rather…basic. a company only needs 1-2 folks to manage basic architecture
here's a suggestion:
pause what you're doing and check the 3 month $GLND chart and then pause and think about all of the undervalued trades you missed that looked like this, and then think about it some more before you miss it again
$GLND If we hit 3 billion boe in commercial quantity in our first well , we should see $512 per share on a fully diluted basis, based on the latest benchmark of Guyana. But that's just the tip...
For now, we might see $6+ today and $10+ tomorrow.
I think we can make a $CRML type run when there were rumors of the U.S getting involved with them in Greenland. They went from $2.X to $30 with a much higher share structure. They went all the way to having a few billion $ market cap.
But they had no where near the massive potential in ree's as we do in oil.
But this news from Trump hits massively different...
