I have significantly changed the NPB cards:
You now have a compact card. Z-COn% per pitch type is added. You can find an overall tool summary on the bottom left, and the radar visualisation to understand the player at a glance!
Aim: More professional, more shareable.
Qualified MLB starters with a Chase% in the 95th% or higher:
- Tarik Skubal
- Zack Wheeler
- Cristopher Sanchez
- Braxton Ashcraft
- Chris Sale
- Nathan Eovali
- Payton Tolle
Tolle is four years younger than the next youngest pitcher on this list, Braxton Ashcraft (27)
Shugo Maki is straight up putting the BayStars on his back this postseason.
He hit 4 homers in 6 games during the first two rounds and just hit a game-tying solo shot in the 8th inning of Game 1.
2027 might be do-or-die for Kevin Alcántara.
Two AAA seasons in a row with at least a .265 BA, .350 OBP, .800 OPS and a wrc+ of 110 or higher at his age. EV's are there, so are the whiffs, but he deserves a real run.
They do lose Suzuki and Happ, which might be his chance.
Shugo Maki reportedly not coming to MLB might be a bigger deal than you think.
Maki is an offensive powerhouse at 2B, aided by his ability to pull 30+% of his fly balls. He hit 30 HR in 108 G (career-best) and has been a 20+ HR certainty since his rookie year.
@natebbstats Fastball can get quite straight but he does locate it well, cutter is solid, slider is nasty and he utilizes both forkball and changeup. He can throw 8 pitches but I'd say FF, FC, FS/FO and his SL is enough to be succesful in MLB.
Now the official NPB data we have on Kaima Taira:
- 99.4 MPH Max FF velo.
- 95.4 MPH Avg. FF velo.
- 6.2 IP Avg. per start.
- .185 BAA.
- 0.25 HR/9
More third-party data:
- 31.2% Chase%
- 27.7% Whiff%
He throws: FF, FC, SW, CH, FS, SI, SL
Demon 👑
Rass loses points with Cy Young voters for the low innings total (and WAR, subsequently). The Rays manage his workload to make sure he can do what he is doing right now in the postseason. Fourth start coming and his velo is UP a tick across the board and up 4(!) on his CB. 📈
One of my early, bold 2027 predictions:
Emmanuel Rodriguez finishes the 2027 MLB season with more than 25 home runs and an OBP north of .350.
He has the eye, the power, and the glove to become a mainstay in that Twins lineup. IF, and that's a big IF, he can stay healthy.
Drew Dasmussen's 2026 was an overall career-year.
As a starter, he hit career-bests in:
- IP (172 IP)
- ERA (2.67)
- FIP (2.81)
- K% (26%)
- BB% (4.8%)
- WHIP (0.91)
And he currently has a 1.29 ERA through 3 Postseason starts as well. Definition of an ace.
29.5 ft/s top end sprint speed from a dude who hits balls almost 500 feet is absolutely insane lol
I know he’s risky but god I want Sato to excel, he’s such an exciting talent
I see a lot of varying data points from Teruaki Sato.
Here is his OFFICIAL NPB-licensed data:
117.0 MaxEV
93.3 Avg. EV (Sat over 94 much of 26’)
74.6 MPH Avg. Bat Speed ⚡️
55.3% Hard-Hit%
18.4% Barrel%
35.7% Chase%
29.5 ft/s Max Sprint Speed
