I'm too far away to cut through the propaganda. But remember the humans, the families and the communities on both sides who will bear the brunt of this war.
More brutal than the Arab slave castration system? Or the virginia slave penal code? Or the German death marches in Namibia? Or the holocaust? Or the holodomor? Or the slave camps for Germans, cossacks and Koreans in Russia? Or the Indian caste system? Or the Aztec human sacrifice raids? Or the Bantu enslavement of the Khoi? Or the Atlantic slave trade? Or the Muslim conquests? Or the Qing dynasty caste system? Or the Japanese occupations? Or the Indonesian occupation of east Timor? Or the government in Kashmir? Or the ethnic cleansing of the Germans from neighboring countries after ww2? Or the Boer war concentration camps? Or the Spanish silver mines? Or the killing of cham, viet and Chinese in Cambodia? Or the Sudanese in Darfur? Or the Biafrans? Or the hutu power movement? Or ISIS? Or Christians under Muslim republics? Or the bothlanka system of sotho slavery? Or the Congo slaving empire?
@_Ochiedike It spread in spite of Christians being thrown to wild animals for entertainment. First learn something about the topic before you parrot a lie.
@Maximumatheist Soft tissue in fossil bones allegedly 65 million years old
Marine fossils on top of high mountains
That is two I can remember off the top of my head.
@HQmindd@sjpimmigrant41 Yes, and it is a Christian worldview that gives rise to the scientific method. An atheist worldview is plagiarising that and taking credit which is not due to it.
@athiestboi Suggestion: next time you post your objection online, just first do a quick search to see if it has been answered. Saves you some embarrassment next time.
@athiestboi Because God is also perfectly just by nature, which demands that sin be punished. The church had been saying that since Augustine in the 4th century at least, and it is very explicitly explained in the Belgic confession (1561) and the Heidelberg Catechism (1563).
@AndrewChase1963@iamAtheistGirl Yes, and that is not what Christianity is about. It is not fear of punishment, but a changed heart and a new life in Christ that changes me to do good.
@Sassy_Khat@GaleBeaty@rabbriansamuel Yes, but that is not the reason here. You made one snide remark, got called out on your inconsistency and then proceeded to metaphorically roll your eyes and then throw a tantrum.
Now you proceeded to ad hominem. The other sure sign you can't answer.
@0nlyHalfEvil @kaizen000000000 Have you never been selfish ever in your life? If so, it must have been great to be your parents when you were a teenager.
@Sassy_Khat@GaleBeaty@rabbriansamuel Nothing quite says "I don't have an argument, I can't answer your point" quite like swearing and losing your temper...
@Sassy_Khat@GaleBeaty@rabbriansamuel Reading all of Isaiah makes it harder, not easier to deny Jesus as Messiah. All of Isaiah includes Isaiah 7, 40, 49, etc. All clearly applicable to Jesus of Nazareth.
So you just admitted that you're a bad person. Your ๐ says that you think some morally reprehensible things are ok. You need the Bible to tell you what is right and wrong. Just like the rest of us. Now the question remains: will you listen?
@Ihunanya_chi It is a false dichotomy. Faith is first. Faith is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). However, faith has fruits. James is making the point that if there are no fruit, there is also no faith. Not that works in itself saves.
