We progress again in the PCC after beating yet another higher division side. The boys were superb going 4 up in the first half. Duck grabbed another GOTS contender, while H did what he does best bagging 2. Almost threw it away second half going 4-4, but we progress on pens.
Glebe 6 v 4 Wickham Athletic.
The boys push on into the next round of the PCC thanks to a Louis Duckering goal, direct from kick off (tbf it weren’t a bad strike), 2 goals from LC after he decided to turn up, a OP goal with his nose and a goal each for the Bunclark’s (shock)
Finley Sillence's hat-trick ensured @Falconwood_FC tightened their grip on top spot with a 5-2 win at @KingsHillFC1.
Luke West fired them in front after only 10 minutes before Sillence added two more in the space of five minutes - completing his treble just after the hour.
Louis Duckering added the fifth deep into stoppage-time - Oliver Aston and Matt Morse's first of the season pulling two back.
Starting our season in the right way with a 3-0 win over Pekunspor in the Vic Farrow Cup.
Boys did well today on a pretty awful surface down at Norman’s. A rocket from A Burnley opened the scoring, followed by a goal each from LC and Cornish Joe.

Whether you love or hate Rondo’s, you can’t help but marvel at Barcelona players warming up prior to the 2011 Champions League final at Wembley.
There are three mental skills underpinning action-execution every single second in this incredible clip.
Attention
Intensity
Intent
Players focused and connected to the ball, teammates, and the players in the middle pressing them aggressively…
Players executing actions at a high level of mental intensity, to meet the speed in which they must select their actions and execute their actions.
And then intent. Energy-forward. Approach behaviour. No hesitancy or inhibition. Just purposeful, positive, and proactive execution of actions
Attention
Intensity
Intent
But here’s the thing. As much as we marvel the speed in which these players respond to the demands of the game in the moment, their internal is trumping their external for speed at all times. Their brain is working in milliseconds. It’s firing in milliseconds - sending thoughts, emotions, and feelings into conscious awareness at any given time - inner impulses that can disrupt their performance.
As thoughts fly in and out, and as feelings emerge and dissolve, so they have to stay disciplined- so they have to paying attention to cues in game, so they have to retain a high mental intensity, and so they have to keep executing with a high level of intent - positively, with energy-forward.
Barcelona players - in control and in charge. Dominating and owning mind and body…
On the rack for the first 30 mins but then we settled down and played some decent football. Two up at the break and further two in the second half gave us a convincing 4-0 victory.
Four different scorers today and three assists and a goal from Matt Self.
On to the next round!
