@Chetuyachinago But two things can be right, foreign actors want resources and homemade terrorists want power and dominance, both goals are synonyms. It's like killing two birds with one stone.
This story gets so much worse. Apparently this all started because police were called out for a disturbance after her husband broke their tv out of anger after finding out his brother was killed by Israel in Gaza. The husband is Palestinian. When the police were taking him into custody his wife stopped them because she wanted to accompany him and that is when the officer threw her on the ground for “interference.” The couple was cooperative with the police the entire time and yet this is how they were treated.
She delivered the baby prematurely because of the physical trauma on her body but thankfully both she and the baby survived and are in good health. She easily could have miscarried.
This entire police department should be investigated and that officer should be arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on.
I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships.
I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.
Catalonia is my place on earth.
Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years.
A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career.
Barça is back where it belongs.
Visca el Barça. Visca Catalunya 💙❤️

Who are the poor in spirit whom Jesus Christ calls blessed?
A. The poor in spirit are, according to the gospel, those whose hearts are detached from riches; who make good use of riches should they have any; who do not seek them too eagerly, if they have none; and who suffer the loss of such things with resignation when deprived of them.
Pope Saint Pius X

Lewis wasn’t warning about people being kind.
He was warning about sentiment without spine.
When “niceness” replaces virtue, morality stops being something you become and turns into something you perform. At that point, ethics aren’t rooted in truth, they’re optimized for approval.
That’s the real danger of The Abolition of Man:
once objective value is dismissed, power quietly takes its place. Not always with boots and guns, but with incentives, language control, and moral outsourcing.
“Men without chests” aren’t evil. They’re worse.
They’re competent, agreeable, and hollow.
They can analyze injustice endlessly yet lack the internal gravity to resist it when resistance costs them something. So they trade courage for comfort and call it compassion.
And that’s how a society doesn’t fall to monsters.
It falls to managers.
Lewis saw it early: if nothing is sacred, everything is adjustable.
And when everything is adjustable, the strongest hand on the dial decides what “good” means.
Niceness didn’t kill the soul.
Substituting feelings for virtue did.
And once a culture forgets how to form character, it doesn’t need tyrants.
It manufactures compliance all by itself.
Did you know C.S. Lewis predicted the modern obsession with “being nice” would destroy the soul?
In The Abolition of Man, Lewis argues that when a society stops believing in objective virtue, it doesn’t become tolerant… it becomes manipulable.
He calls the result “men without chests.”
People with appetites and intellects, but no courage, no honor, no trained moral instincts. They can calculate everything and defend nothing.
Lewis saw that once we reject inherited moral law, we don’t become free. We become raw material… easily shaped by propaganda, pleasure, and fear.
Modern man prides himself on compassion while quietly surrendering every standard that once gave compassion meaning.
Lewis’s insight is brutal: a civilization that educates clever cowards will eventually be ruled by tyrants or technicians.
Because when nothing is worth dying for, everything becomes negotiable… including human dignity.
I'm so happy with the Nigerian military, they are now on the offensive against ISWAP and Boko Haram in the Northeast, and troops are making strong progress against the terrorists.
Well done to the Nigerian military
