Wolf left to die until an eagle showed up. A group of researchers had been following the same wolf pack for weeks when they noticed one wolf falling farther and farther behind. It was limping badly, stopping every few steps, and by sunset, the pack had disappeared into the trees without it. One photographer stayed back, thinking he was about to capture one of the hardest parts of nature to watch: an injured animal too weak to keep up, left alone in the woods with no pack, no protection, and almost no chance. He said the wolf curled under a tree like it had already given up.
But the last photo he expected to take turned into the one nobody could explain. A bald eagle landed above the wolf and stayed there, not feeding, not circling, just watching. For days, it returned while the wolf slept, almost like it was guarding the only animal in the forest weaker than itself. Then the wolf got strong enough to move, and cameras caught something even stranger. The eagle began flying low over the brush, pushing small prey toward the wolf, and when the wolf made the catch, it let the eagle eat beside it. What started as a heartbreaking scene became something researchers never thought they would see: a wounded wolf and a wild eagle learning to survive together.
China is building data centers on the ocean floor. Instead of relying heavily on giant air-conditioning systems or freshwater cooling, these underwater facilities use the ocean as a natural cooling source.
Sealed pressure-resistant modules on the seabed dissipate heat into the surrounding seawater, which acts as a natural cooling source.
Early projects off Shanghai and Hainan show significant efficiency gains: the Shanghai project’s designers estimated about 22.8% lower overall energy consumption, while the Hainan facility has been reported to be 40–60% more power-efficient than traditional facilities, with little or no freshwater needed for cooling.
One major center even runs mostly on offshore wind power. It’s a creative way to handle the huge cooling demands of modern AI data centers while cutting both energy use and water waste.
Eagles make history with weird tradition. Scientists are buzzing after a set of trail camera images appeared to show something researchers almost never expected to document in the wild: bald eagles passing down a learned behavior. Last year, cameras captured a massive bull moose traveling through the forest with two adult eagles perched calmly on his antlers, riding for miles as if it was normal. At first, experts thought it was just a bizarre one-time moment, but after reviewing months of footage, they noticed the same pair returning again and again. The strange relationship seemed to help both sides. The eagles scared off insects and smaller scavengers bothering the moose, while the moose gave them a moving lookout tower through thick summer brush.
But the image that shocked everyone came nearly two years later. The same moose was seen walking toward the camera, only this time there were three eagles on his antlers: the two adults and their now-grown juvenile standing between them. Researchers believe the young eagle may have learned the behavior by watching its parents, a discovery that could suggest these birds are capable of recognizing patterns, remembering useful partnerships, and passing habits down in a way scientists rarely associate with wild raptors. What started as one strange trail camera photo has now become something much bigger, a possible glimpse into how much more is happening in the animal world when nobody is watching.
This is beautiful. ❤️
A wedding lasts a day.
But moments like this become part of a family's story forever.
You can see it the instant she realizes what she's looking at. Not just a painting, but a piece of one of the happiest days of her life, captured forever.
Long after the flowers have faded and the music has stopped, this will still be hanging on a wall, bringing it all back.🙏
What's the most meaningful gift you've ever received?

I voted for this. Way to go, DeSantis.
Starting July 1, Florida will begin rolling out a major change to driver's licenses and state ID cards: your citizenship status will now be printed directly on the card.
The change is part of HB 991, Florida's version of the SAVE America Act, which Governor DeSantis signed in April. Beginning next month, new licenses and renewals will indicate whether the holder is a U.S. citizen or holds another legal immigration status. Current license holders will not need to make a special trip to the DMV, as the change will be applied automatically at their next renewal or replacement. Anyone who becomes a U.S. citizen can get a free updated card reflecting their new status.
The broader law also eliminates student IDs, retirement community IDs, debit cards, and public assistance IDs as acceptable forms of voter identification. Candidates running for federal office must now disclose whether they intend to trade stocks while in office, and all candidates must affirm U.S. citizenship and disclose any dual citizenship. The full suite of voter registration and election code changes takes effect January 1, 2027, though the driver's license provision kicks in next month.
Critics say the law will disproportionately burden naturalized citizens and legally present immigrants, while supporters call it a common-sense modernization of identification standards. <<<--- this won't burden me.

“True American Hero: Rick Rescorla’s Unheeded Warnings Saved Thousands on 9/11”
In 1990, combat-hardened security chief Rick Rescorla walked the World Trade Center parking garage and sensed deadly vulnerability. A Silver Star recipient who survived the bloodbath of Ia Drang Valley in Vietnam, Rescorla knew the face of danger. He warned executives: a truck bomb here could topple the towers. They dismissed him as paranoid and costly.
On February 26, 1993, terrorists struck exactly as he predicted. Six dead, over a thousand injured. Rescorla quietly cataloged the chaos, then warned again: they would return to finish the job. Bureaucrats shrugged.
Undeterred, this veteran of real-world threats took charge at Morgan Stanley in the South Tower. He mandated rigorous evacuation drills—twice yearly, no excuses—for 2,700 employees across 22 floors. Complaints poured in: “waste of time,” “obsessed.” Rescorla pressed on, timing exits, fixing bottlenecks, and singing Cornish battle hymns to steady nerves and maintain order.
September 11, 2001. After the North Tower was hit, officials urged “stay calm, remain in place.” Rescorla ignored the official line, grabbed his bullhorn, and ordered evacuation: “Everyone out. Now. This is not a drill.” He personally swept floors, singing those same hymns as smoke filled the stairwells. When the South Tower was struck at 9:03, he kept directing people downward.
He refused to leave while others remained. His final call to wife Susan: “If something happens to me… I’ve never been happier. You made my life.” At 9:59, the tower collapsed. Rescorla and his team were still inside.
Result: 2,687 of Morgan Stanley’s 2,700 employees survived—thanks to years of preparation by one clear-eyed leader who refused to trust government reassurances over proven threats.
Rick Rescorla embodied the American warrior spirit: vigilance, personal responsibility, and selfless duty in the face of radical Islamic terrorism. He proved that ignoring warnings from battle-tested patriots endangers us all.
In an age of bureaucratic denial, his legacy demands we stay prepared and never let political correctness blind us to evil. #AmericanHero #911Heroes #NeverForget #MilitaryValor #RadicalIslam #PrepareDontPanic #Patriotism #SilverStar #WTC911

Did you know that #DDay was a massive logistics mission? OVERLORD deployed 130,000 troops in the initial wave, 1.2M more in 90 days, all to secure a supply base in Western Europe.
What other military operations do you think won on logistics? #DLAhistory
