@AgnesAyton@jamesldowns There seems to be no real consensus although majority say 7 year history and severity differs but appears to be related to impact on functioning and different areas of life. It also seems to be linked to unsuccessful treatment attempts. Basically more research needed

I met E at an eating disorder support group. Her energy was radiant, as was her passion to use her experiences to help others. I was and always have been so touched by her words of wisdom.
Today I found out she has died. Another precious life lost to a cruel illness.
In despair. D being discharged next week at a BMI of 14. Not following the plan at home. Refusing the increased hospital plan. No psychological treatment. CMHT don’t want her. Everybody knows it’s going to go to pot. Discharge anyway. I want to cry. #revolvingdoor#pointless
