So appalled and upset at the way doctors are treated. Scandalous treatment of hard working and dedicated people who go above and beyond to look after us and save life’s. Without them, what do we really have: nothing. Pay should = 1st year MP minimum. Fund training too.

My 85 yo Mum was left screaming in pain for hours on a trolley waiting to get into A&E. She was a dedicated midwife and nurse. I was horrified, petrified at the length of the trolley queue, paramedics having to stand for hours as well. Then the ambulances outside. This is Notts.

We cannot allow GPs and hospital doctors to be replaced by less qualified people. Patients need their problems dealt with by those with specialist training yet these specialists are out of work!

PAs start on ~£10k more than a doctor, this is not an economically viable model.

Important that the GP who interrupted Rishi Sunak raised with him that GPs are being made unemployed while patients are being seen by lesser qualified staff.

This was the issue when my constituent’s daughter Emily Chesterton died after only seeing a Physician Associate.

It is insane that we are short of GPs but at the same time have so many GPs who cannot find work. And it is only going to get even worse come summer when thousands more GPs come off their GP training programmes and are unable to find work because practices cannot afford to pay for them. I’ve heard of GPs struggling to find work across Manchester (including Bolton & Macclesfield), Nottingham, Lincoln, Peterborough.. there are without doubt many other places too..

The public message has always been clear.. they are rightly furious and upset they cannot see GPs. You only need to read the comments in any news article about general practice and how hard it it to get to see a GP now.
