4 years ago, both of my grandparents passed away, starting a court battle that's put 200 years of Texas history for sale.

The estate includes hundreds of acres near Marble Falls, TX, that have been in my family since before Texas was Texas. Stephen F. Austin himself granted this land to my ancestor, Captain Jesse Burnam, in the 1820s, one of the original "Old Three Hundred" families. There are stories of him fighting off Native Americans and fighting in wars!

That land stayed in our family for five generations. There's a state historical marker on it, placed by the Texas Historical Commission in 2014.

My family has never had money in the bank kind of wealth. But I wouldn't sell this land for millions of dollars. Some things matter more than money, and history and nature are two of them.

My aunt, the executor, has managed this estate about as badly as it's possible to manage one, burning hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees fighting my mom and uncle, to the point that land had to be sold just to cover the bill. Yes, there was a will involved, but it's complicated...

Now, more than 150 acres of it are listed for sale by my aunt. My aunt has no heirs of her own tied to this place.

And beautiful, spring fed land that survived the Texas Revolution, five generations of my family, and a war with Mexico might get bulldozed for a subdivision.

What I'm hoping for is that it doesn't end with a developer.

When I tried to speak with a employee, they all fled and closed the building. What do they have to hide while using taxpayer funds to operate?

This is why they need this bill to pass so they can shield the public from looking into California’s corruption.

I woke up early on July 4th to a call from my friend, mentor, and fellow Florida Congressman @RepBrianMast.

Brian had a problem — a group of his constituents were supposed to march in the Independence Day Parade, which had been cancelled due to the insane heat.

To try to salvage their day, Brian wanted to give them a private tour of the Capitol. One problem — a Member can only bring 100 people in at a time and this group was estimated at 150.

He asked if I’d throw on some clothes and head over to help get the group in.

Brian Mast is a war hero, and at some point he’ll learn that when he asks me to do something, he can just assume the answer is yes.

To my surprise, when I showed up, the group turned out to be kilt-wearing, bagpipe-playing firefighters, mostly from all over Florida, but from more than a dozen states too.

We got them into the Capitol, and in the Dome of our Democracy, these heroes decided to put on a performance of their own. No bagpipes, just voices.

The fireworks were great. But jumping out of bed to help these heroes get a private tour of our nation’s Capitol on Independence Day?

That was the highlight.

This disabled American veteran closed his Citibank account voluntarily to move his money to a more veteran-friendly financial institution according to his wife (@isabellebrown on TT). After the account was closed, a disability payment from the federal government posted and Citibank won’t release the funds.

The person on the phone is 4 supervisors deep in the compliance department and admits that they know it is against the law to withhold the funds because they are protected but finally states that the bank is making them do it. Is this really how Citibank treats American veterans? It sounds like the family is prepared to do whatever it takes as this is their only source of income.

What you’re witnessing here on this video is two girls that have been bullying the teenage girl that lives in this house . They recently went to her home where her mother is having another baby,and is due in two weeks. They threw a firecracker into the window of the new nursery that she had just decorated with all of the furnishings that she received from the baby shower.. The whole room went up in flames. Everything is in ashes, luckily the rest of the house wasn’t too damaged. This is what parents are raising out there and sending out into the world. Hopefully these two degenerates will get their day in court, and will be punished to the fullest extent that they can be, and I think their parents should be held accountable as well ..just my opinion!!

I am having a drink this evening with a friend in a Chiswick pub. Two policemen have just come into the pub and asked me to step outside. I have stepped outside and they have threatened me because I tweeted about a councillor banning seating outside pubs in Chiswick. They admit on video (watch it!) that I did not break the law at all. They came to threaten me. To warn me off tweeting about councillors and the council. This is modern Britain. This is the police state. Please, please, please watch this video.
