People are boycotting Planet Fitness because they are angry that this woman was banned from the gym for confronting a transgender, but this is a false narrative.

1.) This woman literally started filming another gym member in the locker room. How does she not understand how wrong that is? She deserves to be banned, and was banned for videotaping a member, not for being mad that a transgender man was in the locker room despite what she claims.

2.) No 12-year old is even permitted to be in the Planet Fitness Locker room like this woman claims.

3.) I understand some of the arguments about the whole bathroom thing. The solution would be to have private restrooms and changing rooms for members. With that said, any man can walk into the woman's restroom regardless of whether they are transgender if they really wanted to do something horrible. At the same time, men can also harm boys in mens rooms. If you are concerned about your kid going into a public restroom or locker room then go with them. That's called parenting.

For the record I have been a member of Planet Fitness for 17 years now. The gym is great, the price is affordable, and I have never seen or heard of anyone having any issues in the locker rooms. I also don't see 12-year-olds working out there because they are no permitted to.
