"Members of the Theosophical Society will notice that certain theories or doctrines have not been gone into. That is because they could not be treated without unduly extending the book and arousing needless controversy.
The subject of the Will has received no treatment, inasmuch as that power or faculty is hidden, subtle, undiscoverable as to essence, and only visible in effect. As it is absolutely colorless and varies in moral quality in accordance with the desire behind it, as also it acts frequently without our knowledge, and as it operates in all the kingdoms below man, there could be nothing gained by attempting to enquire into it apart from the Spirit and the desire."

"Man can, if he wishes, lead his desire
through a vein of coral or a heavenly nude.
Tomorrow loves will be rocks and Time
a breeze that comes slumbering through the branches.
That's why I don't raise my voice, old Walt Whitman,
against the boy who inscribes the name of a girl on his pillow,
nor the lad who dresses as a bride in the shadow of the wardrobe,
nor the solitary men in clubs who drink
with disgust prostitution's waters,
nor against the men with the green glance
who love men and burn their lips in silence.
Bakery.
But yes, against you, city maricas,
of tumescent flesh and unclean thought.
Mothers of mud. Harpies.
Unsleeping enemies of Love that bestows garlands of joy.
Against you forever, you who give boys
drops of foul death with bitter poison.
Against you forever,
Fairies of North America,
Pájaros of Havana,
Jotos of Mexico,
Sarasas of Cadiz,
Apios of Seville,
Cancas of Madrid,
Floras of Alicante,
Adorers of slime!
Spread in public squares like fevered fans
or ambushed in stiff landscapes of hemlock.
No quarter! Death
flows from your eyes and heaps grey flowers at the swamp's edge.
No quarter! Look out!!
Let the perplexed, the pure,
the classical, the noted, the supplicants
close the gates of the bacchanal to you.
And you, lovely Walt Whitman, sleep on the banks of the Hudson,
with your beard towards the pole and your hands open.
Bland clay or snow, your tongue is calling
for comrades to guard your disembodied gazelle.
Sleep: nothing remains.
A dance of walls stirs the prairies
and America drowns itself in machines and lament.
I want the strong air of the deepest night
to tear away letters and flowers from the arch where you sleep,
and a black boy to announce to the gold-minded whites
the arrival of the reign of the ear of corn."

“Love is merely a madness; and, I tell you, deserves as well a dark house and a whip as madmen do; and the reason why they are not so punish'd and cured is that the lunacy is so ordinary that the whippers are in love too.”
― William Shakespeare (As You Like It )
"’T is hard to keep the what from breaking
through this pretty painting of the how.
The core will come to the surface. Strong
will & keen perception overpower old
manners & create new; & the thought
of the present moment has a greater value
than all the past." — Ralph W. Emerson
"Yes, that is a real and very recent quote.
Elon Musk posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating: "SpaceX will be worth more than the rest of Earth if we accomplish our goals."
He made the comment during a discussion about SpaceX's massive computing and AI infrastructure deals. When critics and followers questioned the sheer scale of his business moves, Musk defended the timeline by looking at the ultimate potential of a space-based economy."

an unlooked-for wisdom, that the gods, in the beginning, divided Man into men, that he might be more helpful to himself; just as the hand was divided into fingers, the better to answer its end."

I don't smoke, don't drink, don't use drugs, and walk every day to help prevent insulin resistance, now I do have to use smaller doses of fast acting insulin, exercise does lead to hypoglycemia, my blood sugar has gone as low as 35. I brought it down from the 300's average.
"Who shall tell what did befall,
Far away in time, when once,
Over the lifeless ball,
Hung idle stars and suns?
What god the element obeyed?
Wings of what wind the lichen bore,
Wafting the puny seeds of power,
Which, lodged in rock, the rock abrade?"

“Great wits to madness nearly are allied;
Both serve to make our poverty our pride.”
Aristotle said: No great genius was ever without some mixture of madness, nor can anything grand or superior to the voice of common mortals be spoken except by the agitated soul. — R. W. Emerson
"I dare say it may for an instant have perplexed some of you that I should speak of conceptions that aimed at going beyond God, and of attempts to fly above him or outbid him; so I will now explain exactly what I mean."

"The law is only a memorandum. We are superstitious, and esteem the statute somewhat: so much life as it has in the character of living men is its force. The statute stands there to say, Yesterday we agreed so and so, but how feel ye this article to-day? Our statute is a currency which we stamp with our own portrait: it soon becomes unrecognizable, and in process of time will return to the mint."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

"T is worse, and tragic, that no man is fit for society who has fine traits. At a distance he is admired, but bring him hand to hand, he is a cripple. One protects himself by solitude, and one by courtesy, and one by an acid, worldly manner,—each concealing how he can the thinness of his skin and his incapacity for strict association. But there is no remedy that can reach the heart of the disease but either habits of self-reliance that should go in practice to making the man independent of the human race, or else a religion of love. Now he hardly seems entitled to marry; for how can he protect a woman, who cannot protect himself?"

"We are all hollow & empty; ‘tis not with
wind & voice that we are to fill ourselves;
we want a more solid substance to repair
us: a man starving with hunger would be
very simple to seek rather to provide
himself with a gay garment than with
a good meal;.." — Michel deMontaigne
It's the end of the world as you know it, and I feel fine.
"If these had been good fellows, fond of dancing, port and clubs, we should have had no Theory of the Sphere and no Principia. They had that necessity of isolation which genius feels. Each must stand on his glass tripod if he would keep his electricity."

.@elonmusk 🔴BREAKING: Elon Musk just dropped this mind-blowing update on Neuralink…
“In the next 6 to 12 months, we’ll be doing our first implants for vision — even if somebody is completely blind, we can write directly to the visual cortex.”
Blindness? Cured.
Sight? Restored.
Humanity? Upgraded. 👀⚡
From zero vision → potential superhuman sight (infrared, UV, radar… like a real-life superhero).
This is no longer sci-fi. It’s happening NOW.

I wanted to drop some updates, I have been able to recover some,
and manage my diabetes better, going from 30 units to 50-60 units of basal insulin has made a difference in my overall outlook.
"Those constitutions which can bear in open day the rough dealing of the world must be of that mean and average structure such as iron and salt, atmospheric air and water. But there are metals, like potassium and sodium, which, to be kept pure, must be kept under naphtha. Such are the talents determined on some specialty, which a culminating civilization fosters in the heart of great cities and in royal chambers. Nature protects her own work."
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
I am further now from 3.5 million pounds of nuclear waste, that is buried about 30 miles from the area I was at in Temecula CA. I don't know if it was affecting me there, I feel it less here whatever it was, and I am pro-active about managing my diabetes.

harmoniously organized into

of mind and matter. What narrative
of wonders coming down from a

I have not been on here much, but wanted to post something, my goal for this year is to get as much care
on my teeth as possible, I neglected them for too long.
"What is life but the angle of vision? A man is measured by the angle at which he looks at objects. What is life but what a man is thinking of all day? This is his fate and his employer. Knowing is the measure of the man. By how much we know, so much we are.
The laws and powers of the Intellect have, however, a stupendous peculiarity, of being at once observers and observed." — Ralph Waldo Emerson, feat.

"My love is strengthened, though more weak in seeming;
I love not less, though less the show appear;
That love is merchandized, whose rich esteeming,
The owner's tongue doth publish every where.
Our love was new, and then but in the spring,
When I was wont to greet it with my lays;
As Philomel in summer's front doth sing,
And stops his pipe in growth of riper days:
Not that the summer is less pleasant now
Than when her mournful hymns did hush the night,
But that wild music burthens every bough,
And sweets grown common lose their dear delight.
Therefore like her, I sometime hold my tongue:
Because I would not dull you with my song."
— William Shakespeare, feat.
The Magic of Ordinary Days
"How many persons we meet in houses, whom we scarcely speak to, whom yet we honor, and who honor us! How many we see in the street, or sit with in church, whom, though silently, we warmly rejoice to be with! Read the language of these wandering eye-beams. The heart knoweth."

I
"We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar
Shape without form,
shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture
without motion;
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's
other Kingdom
Remember us-if at all-not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.
II
Eyes I dare not meet in dreams
In death's dream kingdom
These do not appear:
There, the eyes are
Sunlight on a broken column
There, is a tree swinging
And voices are
In the wind's singing
More distant and more solemn
Than a fading star.
Let me be no nearer
In death's dream kingdom
Let me also wear
Such deliberate disguises
Rat's coat, crowskin,
crossed staves
In a field
Behaving as the wind behaves
No nearer-
Not that final meeting
In the twilight kingdom
III
This is the dead land
This is cactus land
Here the stone images
Are raised, here they receive
The supplication of a dead
man's hand
Under the twinkle of a
fading star.
Is it like this
In death's other kingdom
Waking alone
At the hour when we are
Trembling with tenderness
Lips that would kiss
Form prayers to broken stone.
IV
The eyes are not here
There are no eyes here
In this valley of dying stars
In this hollow valley
This broken jaw of our
lost kingdoms
In this last of meeting places
We grope together
And avoid speech
Gathered on this beach
of the tumid river
Sightless, unless
The eyes reappear
As the perpetual star
Multifoliate rose
Of death's twilight kingdom
The hope only
Of empty men.

Here we go round the

Prickly pear prickly pear
Here we go round the
prickly pear
At five o'clock in the morning.
Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom
Between the conception
And the creation
Between the emotion
And the response
Falls the Shadow
Life is very long
Between the desire
And the spasm
Between the potency
And the existence
Between the essence
And the descent
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom
For Thine is
Life is
For Thine is the
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper."

"The simplicity of nature is not that which may easily be read, but is inexhaustible. The last analysis can no wise be made. We judge of a man’s wisdom by his hope, knowing that the perception of the inexhaustibleness of nature is an immortal youth. The wild fertility of nature is felt in comparing our rigid names and reputations with our fluid consciousness. We pass in the world for sects and schools, for erudition and piety, and we are all the time jejune babes."
