Israel can call it “international law” all it likes. Boarding civilian aid boats in international waters, seizing the vessels, and detaining foreign nationals is not law enforcement. It is piracy dressed up as policy.

These were civilians on humanitarian vessels, not an invading navy. Israel had no sovereign jurisdiction over them on the high seas.

Taking people by force and transporting them against their will is kidnapping in plain English. Calling it a blockade does not magically turn unlawful seizure into legality.

The law is the law and Israel broke it.

Then had a leading figure from the government humiliate and flagrantly abuse the prisoners.

In the last set of arrests the citizens were physically assaulted.
