But it is a known fact that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will win Anambra State by a wide margin in the forthcoming 2027 general election, given his transformational strides across the Southeast and other parts of the country.

The people currently governing us enjoyed free education in the 1960s and '70s, when government fully subsidized schooling. In our generation, even some public schools now charge fees. So if KCOBA plans to take over the school for 35 years, does that mean fees will stay the same, or will they need to raise fees to recoup and profit from the ₦100 billion they're investing?

If a private association can find 100 billion to fix up a public school, why can't the government do the same with the subsidy money it already collects? Instead of handing school infrastructure over to private hands for decades, government should be reinvesting subsidy funds directly into fixing these schools itself.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FROWNS AT CONTRACTOR HANDLING BENIN - ASABA ROAD OVER INCOMPETENCE

The Federal Government says it is considering terminating the concession agreement for the Benin–Asaba road project over alleged incompetence and slow pace of work.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, gave the indication during an inspection visit to the project site in Benin City.

The Minister’s visit to the Benin–Agbor road bypass was on the directive of President Bola Tinubu.
It followed a recent protest by Edo youths over what they described as the poor handling of the project, which they say has caused untold hardship to road users.
Accompanying the Minister were the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and some members of the National Assembly.
During the inspection, Senator Umahi expressed dissatisfaction with the level and quality of work done by the concessionaire.
He said the Federal Government may have no option but to revoke the contract and re-award it to a more competent company if there is no immediate improvement.
