Over the weekend a lot of debris has been caught in the seaweed on the shoreline, lots of rope pieces, plastics, cotton buds and other rubbish. One of our committee members picked up some rubbish and submitted this photo #loveportreath π #litterpick#keepyourcommunityclean
If anyone would like to help pick up this mess, please feel free to do so at your own risk as Love Portreath cannot yet organise groups for mass beach cleans.
Please remember to keep a safe distance from others if you are picking up litter
Love Portreath applied to the @WoodlandTrust on behalf of Portreath School for one of their free Community Tree Packs and we were successful! Looking forward to planting at the end of the year.

Welcome to the 10thΒ Plastic Free July! Itβs a *personal* challenge that is part of a global challenge for the oceans, for cleaner streets and the planet. Choose one single-use plastic you can avoid and youβll soon discover anotherβ¦and another
The advice when litter picking is to keep a safe distance of 2m's away from others.
We wanted to put this into a measurement more familiar with us Cornish folk - the pasty measurement! Our estimate says that you should keep the length of 8 Cornish pasty's away from others.
**CANCELLED** Due to the weather warning and for insurance purposes, the litter pick for tomorrow has been cancelled #loveportreath π #litterpick#cleancornwall
