I just got off the phone with a close family member…

And it honestly brought me to tears

I’m so emotional right now.

My family hasn’t been supportive of my journey online.

I grew up Christian, so explaining Islam to them defiantly hasn’t been easy.

But today… someone very close to me said she was… proud of me.

she saw a couple of videos I posted in Ramadan and this changed her mind.

she was like:

“How can I be mad at you?”

you’re giving charity, helping the poor, praying to god every day. You’re helping people to be better humans beings.

Honestly, I was speechless.

It made me realise..

Sometimes our actions speak louder than words.
