FACT: In 1977, Somalia captured Ogaden region (SomaliGalbeed) back from Ethiopia but with the help of the Soviet Union and with over 10000 Cubans Somalia was defeated.

If it hadn't been for the Soviet Union intervention, SomaliGalbeed would've been a part of Greater Somalia 🇸🇴.

#OnThisDay - 19th January 1920, Britain started the bombing campaign against Somali Dervishes, Dervish's bases in Midhisho and Taleh were the first places in Africa that British forces aerial bombarded.

The RAF used war planes when they couldn't handle the Dervishes on land.
