Happy Heroes Day!
Today Rwanda pays tribute to our national heroes who defended the highest values of patriotism and sacrifice for the country and its citizens.
National heroes are a source of inspiration for Rwandans to strive for excellence.
Our heroes are our dignity.
A project that started in Kirehe district, Gahara earlier this year which was about giving skills (sewing, hairdressing, shoe making) This was mainly for girls and boys who are not in school and especially for the girls who got pregnant at an early age. They all graduated today.
Earlier today we went to visit the ongoing project where young women and men are learning different handcrafts and other things they can use to secure a higher income for their community.
Yesterday Love To Help organisation officially launched trainings of handcrafts where they will learn how to sew, hair styling and shoes making which will take 6 months, it is for the development of the youth in Kirehe district. @RGB@UNDP_Rwanda

Some women and children are able to come at our office to make necklaces, earings, bags, rugs, cushions and so on. We sell them so they can get food, rent, school fees for their childrens and medical care because they are affected by HIV AIDS. @SavetheChildren@Imbuto@unicefrw
Yesterday 19th August Love to Help opened another branch at Kirehe district where they are helping young women who gave birth at early age. They are offered counselling, food, clothes and more of what's available and possible to give.
Today at Nyaruguru there was a closure of a project that was on for a year now. 33 women who got pregnant at an early age and 2 men finished their class of sewing and they were offered each a sewing machine and materials to start their new skill. #lovetohelprw#RGB
