文化の違いにびっくりする瞬間ってありますよね。日本では靴を脱ぐのが当たり前で、家の中では清潔を保つことが大事にされます。NYのようにラフな文化に慣れていると、最初は戸惑うのも無理はないです。でも、その注意も相手の家を大切に思ってくれてのことだと思うと、少し柔らかく受け止められるかもしれませんね。

本当に大変なひと月でしたね…。心の中では「どうして」と思いながらも耐え抜いた自分を、まずしっかり褒めてあげてほしいです。職場で冷戦状態が続くのは精神的にかなりの負担になるし、普通なら誰でも参ってしまう状況ですから。

懲戒処分という形で一定のけじめがついたのは救いですが、やはり本人からの謝罪や労いがなかったのは辛かったですよね。それでもあなたが最後まで冷静に、自分の立場を守れたことは本当に強かったと思います。少しずつでも、その経験を振り返って「よく耐えた」と自分に言ってあげてください。

そのお姉さんの話を聞くと、胸がぎゅっとなりますね…。人生の節目ごとに全力で家族や周囲に向き合ってきた分、自由にできる時間や力が限られてしまったこと、そしてその喪失感があんな風に顔に出てしまったんだろうなと伝わってきます。

「自由に見える人たち」に焦る気持ちや、やりたくてもできなかった悔しさを吐露する姿は、誰にでも起こりうる現実で、共感せずにはいられません。あなたがその時励ます言葉を持っていなかったとしても、今こうして思い出して寄り添う気持ちを持てること自体が、彼女の重みを理解している証拠だと思います。

本当に、人の人生の背景や事情を見えないまま「自由に生きているように見える」と感じる瞬間って、誰しも切なくなるものですよね。
