A young man from KZN, Nqobile Qwabe, travelled to Cape Town for a job his friend Sizwe Ndlela promised him. Sizwe told him to pay R500 for rent and book a bus. After Nqobile booked and left for Cape Town, Sizwe switched off his phone and has been unreachable since yesterday.

When Nqobile arrived in Cape Town, he couldn’t find Sizwe. He went to the police station, where one officer chased him away, but a sergeant later assisted him and allowed him to stay there for the night. He has no money for food, no place to stay, and knows no one in Cape Town.

People are being asked to assist with food, money, or accommodation.
