Yrs ago, I was “their education is their payment.” I’ve since realized the $ is so much >>> tuition that it’s just a red herring for those in power to pt to. Tuition is part of the deal, but every student has the right to negotiate their value. Anything else is just greed.
One question. If coaches can negotiate salaries, schools can negotiate TV contracts, conferences can negotiate media rights, and administrators can negotiate compensation, why should athletes be the only participants barred from negotiating the value of their labor?
Phenomenal episode today with @DMarlowe_Coach taking the time to join us and give some insights into Bills OTAs, Jim Leonhard’s defense, and what the transition from player to coach is like. A very rewarding conversation for us that we were lucky to have
Bills Coach Dean Marlowe shares a player who has stood out in his eyes so far…

Dean Marlowe Q&A, Bills OTAs Recap | Film Room

There’s a scene in Rings of Power where Nori is about to leave the Harfoot group. She tells her mom to not worry bc she’ll be careful. The mom says, “No you won’t. You’ll be bold.”
I realized that’s what we’ve been trying to give our kids. A foundation to be courageous.
Matthew McConaughey reveals the three words his dad said that changed his life
“I said dad, I don't want to go to law school anymore. I want to go to film school and after about a 5 second pause, he goes, ‘Are you sure that's what you want to do?’ I reply yes sir”
“Another long pause. Then I hear, ‘Well, don't halfass it’”
“I remember just beaming, hopping up just like Yes! My dad not only said okay. The way he said don't halfass it, it was also, okay. Let's go big boy. Own that shit. Get some leverage. Get some horsepower behind where you're going. Go do it”
“I remember to this day and I've learned this later I think from becoming a father, part of what I believe happened to him and why he said that to me that way on that call was the way that I asked him. I wasn't really asking. It was, ‘I don't want to go to law school, Dad. I want to go to film school.’ I didn't stutter. He heard his son saying this is what I want to do”
“What I think happened to him in that moment is what I think any father, any parent loves. You raise your kids in a certain way and you give them a guideline, a ladder to climb and here's the guidelines and if you do it this way, you're most likely going to have some success in life and it'll work out for you and then when we do it that way, we can be proud parents”
“But what do we really want to happen when our kids are out of the house and they're on their own? We kind of want them to call one day and go, ‘I'm breaking out. I'm going my own way.’ And as a parent, we go, as much as it may scare us, we're going, ‘Yes!’ I gave my kid the confidence and the courage and the foundation to say they're going to go their own way”
“In a way, I think every parent honors and loves that moment. I heard my dad, when he didn't hear me stutter, when he heard me directly say what I said. I wasn't really asking him. Even though I was out of respect asking him, the way I said it, I wasn't asking him and I think he felt that”
“Don't halfass it”
@AaronQuinn716 Plus, everyone is talking about "modular" defenses like the Seahawks, but Leonhard was doing that at Wisconsin: https://t.co/B8iWAsDi52

One of the reasons I'm a believer in Jim Leonhard, I encourage every Bills fan to go check out this breakdown of the 2020 Rose Bowl, and his 3rd down playcalling they used.
I don't care about sacks in a vacuum. I don't care about yards. I care about confusing the opposing QB and lowering their EPA.

Making a call out there for all my Star Wars fans, I am looking for contestants for a Star Wars trivia show I will be doing for a few weeks with my Unscripted episodes. I am currently at 4 people, I am looking to have at least 8. Please let me know if you would be interested!
@TommyTalksBills@FReichComeback None of us were in the room✅
But as HC, he rightfully gets blame as the person in charge. But he also gets credit for what went right.
The other option is he didn’t really hold power, & then credit AND blame go to the OC.
We don’t get to blame wo also giving credit.
McD wasn’t perfect, but this idea that he wanted to strangle the O has got to stop.
Was he not HC while they had 1 of the most explosive tms?
McD wanted to be able to dominate in all facets, not only be good passing. He never wanted to throttle the O down.
McDermott was the real issue...The Bills' identity should have been Josh Allen. Instead, Sean McDermott spent years trying to make the Bills fit his complementary-football philosophy...Bills bout to be unleashed in 2026......Proving doubters wrong in 2026.... #Bills#BillsMafia
@CorneliusBills@CTWpod That’s an entirely different argument. The OP was about whether or not McD was a limiting factor on the offense.
Note the pt that says “McD was not perfect.” I agree that there were times McD was loyal to a fault.
Rams picked up Myles Garrett BUT in a bold move the Minnesota Vikings picked up Mrs. Garrett from Facts of Life and are now looking at Tootie. @MeatSauce1
