Said it from the start - Issue is not INEOS's ambition. Issue is commitment from Anderson. I am absolutely certain that INEOS will match his wages IF and ONLY IF Anderson commits to signing for United. And I am 1000% behind that approach.
🚨 JUST IN:
Manchester United remain INTENT on signing Elliot Anderson, with the club’s executives OPTIMISTIC they can BEAT Manchester City in the race to sign him.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe remains intent on trimming costs at United but he would be PREPARED to MEET Anderson’s wage demands should the player decide to join United rather than City.

@JamesDent491196@FrankEra_@ChrisWheelerDM Not 4 — 3.
You need 6 players for the 3 midfield positions.
Mainoo, Mateus, Ederson, Bruno, Mount, ?
You’re losing Casemiro and Ugarte. And we were anyway 1 midfielder short (due to no Europe)
This is such lazy and rage-baiting analysis.
By this logic, united's midfield options are:
- Mainoo
- Ugarte
- Ederson
- Mount
- Bruno
- Cunha
- Zirkzee
If we sign Mateus, and a third midfielder, we will also have 9 midfield options.
@Sergivalentin_ Hi Sergio, commendable job on the Silva news (as well as Mourinho).
Just one small question - since Silva has joined, wouldn’t it be hard for Madrid to sign Mateus now? Unless they sell Camavinga
@sebnonda@Santi_J_FM Jorge Mendes is just making up random stories now. Madrid signed Silva and can no longer sign Mateus so now he’s linking PSG. If PSG sign another midfielder, he’ll link Arsenal, and then he’ll link Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern etc.
@Santi_J_FM Just doesn’t make sense. PSG have Vitinha, Neves, Ruiz. Then Zaire Emery on the bench. I’m sure I’m missing someone else too. Why’d you want Fernandes as your 5th midfielder
@FI_360 I mean the revenue figures are also unprecedented…if TV and UCL revenue’s have gone up by 300-400m, then it’s only likely transfer fees will go up by 30-70m per player.
there’s almost a 30% inflation on transfer fee.
50m player should be 37m
100m player ~76m
125m player ~ 97m
