@CoreyOCroft there's 3 games with these mechanics already. They want unification, fine! But isn't an excuse to reuse gameplay mechanics. Where is the creative people there? I was hoping for something fresh and unique for this new set of games. Player fatigue will be real.

well, my assumptions weren't that far from the true after all... This will be a survivor trilogy DLC with a classic Lara cosplayer...

Such a disappointment! This was their big chance to do something new,to correct path,not to repeat a formula that is already outdated and boring.

It's not. VR was rejected by the market multiple times even as far back as the 90s. This was an expected outcome.

It’s a chicken and egg problem with VR. The existing userbase is small, so very little software is developed. Very little software is developed because the userbase is small.

I know that if I bought a Meta Quest 3 I’d use it a few times and then it’d probably collect dust.

I guess we’re currently in another “VR is basically dead” phase.

Saw so much hype for PS VR and Meta a few years ago only for it to vanish. The technology is legitimately cool, but it’s expensive and the public doesn’t seem interested. This cycle has happened multiple times too.

Xenoblade 1 was fantasy until the reveal of the Space Station

Xenoblade 2 was VERY fantasy until the reveal of Mecha and the World Tree’s true nature

Xenoblade 3 is the only one where it immediately fuses the two.

The only difference is approach. This time they’re aiming for a medieval style. That’s it. Swords, bows, staffs, etc. with knights and wyverns. But I am 100% certain it will have the series’ staple sci-fi twist. That’s what makes it Xenoblade.

Let Monolithsoft COOK and quit complaining when they stray even A LITTLE from the same formula they’ve been using. Let them have fun.
