Kudos to the @LowesLabs team for turning around a @Lowes Apple Vision Pro kitchen builder demo in time for public demos at SXSW. Tommy Hilfiger did a demo just before me. And it’s shoppable. #SXSW
First #SXSW example I’ve come across of Apple Vision Pro being leveraged in a brand activation, by @Lowes Innovation Labs at The Wearhouse (WWD/BeautyInc/FootwearNews/rivet) activation.
A huge thank you to our developers! Their hard work has already resulted in over 1,000 incredible spatial apps designed specifically for Vision Pro, along with over 1.5 million compatible apps. We're thrilled to see how they'll continue to push the boundaries for what’s possible.
Congratulations to @Lowes Marvin Ellison, who tonight received The Visionary award from the @NRFFoundation for being a true retail pioneer. An amazing leader and inspiration
Lowes is using Ethereum to stop theft:
1/They put RFID chips in products
2/The chips activate the product it's purchased - stolen products don't work
3/Each product is tied to a digital twin (NFT) so resellers can check the blockchain to see whether a product has been stolen
Today was the day @Lowes showed off its new Tech Hub in SouthEnd. We got a tour and an exclusive interview with the woman who was in charge of building it. The conversation coming up on #OYST on @WBTV_News at 7.
Additionally, associates on the ground can access the digital twin by wearing augmented reality headsets. They can then see detailed information about the inventory in front of them, including partially obscured items in hard-to-reach places.
Seemantini Godbole, the chief digital and information officer of Lowe’s, says their purpose includes helping store planners optimize layouts and better perform analytics on inventory and sales data. @SeemantiniGodbo

Now Mason Sheffield is up from @LowesLabs to talk about how the company has adopted #USD and what led it to move in that direction. Moving more from just being object-based but towards operations and supply chain as well. #GTC22
@Lowes, one of the largest home improvement retailers in the world, announced at GTC they’re using #AI and @NVIDIAOmniverse Enterprise to design, build, and operate digital twins of their stores to optimize operations and enhance the shopping experience. https://t.co/NcxHDyRb2K
