Oh Look flying boat off Lowestoft. It's called Fata Morgana. An optical illusion caused by warm air above cold air which bends the light downwards to make it look like a ship is flying above the water.
β οΈ Weather Warning issued β οΈ
Valid from 06:00 Friday until 06:00 Saturday. A complex weather system is due to move in on Friday. A lot of rain is expected within this system so localised flooding is possible. It will also bring some strong winds and coastal Gales. Be aware.
Today is St Swithin's day. According to old Folklore whatever the weather is today it will continue for 40 days and 40 nights. Hopefully that's not true this year as it's going to get unseasonably wet and windy later today. Have a great day.
Saturday 22nd March:
Good morning. You might see some sand on your cars this is due to Saharan dust in the atmosphere. Today will be a mix of sunshine and cloud and a few showers possible. High 14c (57F) light to moderate Southeast winds. Have a great Saturday.
