Satellite imagery is one of our only sources of truth here. Without that, we are expected to blindly trust what’s “officially” announced. Iran clearly has access to information given the situational awareness they’ve shown - they don’t need PLANET labs. I could see that argument for same-day, but we aren’t even allowed to see anything that’s a week old. Releasing imagery from last week wouldn’t give Iran access to anything they don’t already have.
Funny story… I know this guy in real life. I can say that he’s one of the smartest guys I know. The funny part is that I had no idea he had any sort of twitter presence.
How did I find out? From your account 😂
I have been following your account for a long time now and you shared one of his threads a couple years ago.. I see the name and thumbnail. I’m thinking.. is that who I think it is???
B52s can be flown in standoff mode, meaning they can launch cruise missiles well beyond the borders of Iran and outside air defense detection envelope. This is probably how they’re being used. There’s no way to know for sure Iranian air defense is 100% destroyed, which would need to be true for US to risk flying a B52 directly overhead.
I get nervous when I see my industry on this list (Forestry). I am using Claude Code CONSTANTLY. The industry age demographics skews heavy boomer so I think I still have time before people catch on. I don’t tell my colleagues I even use AI they just think I’m actually this productive
Potentially some unintended consequences from that, at least for rattlesnakes. Some won’t rattle to warn you when you get close, and that’s becoming more common. The ones that rattle are going to get noticed the most, so if people kill those, they’re unintentionally removing the trait that saves lives from the gene pool.
Well that describes my childhood to a T. I moved elementary schools twice within the same district, and the reputation seemed to follow me wherever I went, almost as if my old teachers had warned the new ones.
Thankfully my parents ignored their endless demands to have me evaluated (to be medicated).
Mr. Hinze in 5th grade was my first male teacher. He seemed to understand me and it was the first time I’d felt engaged in a classroom environment.
@BruceDombrowsk3 @AJA_Cortes No one thinks it’s normal to be drunk all day, 7 days a week. Everyone knows that’s terrible for you. Delusional stoners will smoke constantly and some even convince themselves it’s medicine.
@Adam_Is_Pneuma@bowtiedmeathead I’d imagine it’s somewhat relevant, but definitely not the whole picture which I now realize. The panel I ordered only measured total. Will have to retest, but thinking I’ll do so after some lifestyle improvements to see if that boosts my total.
Sounds like a horrible purchase.
In Texas? Likely no rust issues.
V8? Doesn’t have to work as hard so less wear and tear.
1996? Beautiful classic look and no push button bullshit where you shift into reverse trying to turn down the radio.
Mileage? Probably had 1 owner who was autistic about maintenance. You could probably make that thing last another 20 years.
Agreed. Lawn grass that’s gone to seed looks like shit. Establishing a native lawn is a big project. I know a lot of people in MI who plant native prairie vegetation in their yards. You have to burn it every couple years or so, which Ann Arbor allows, otherwise it will get taken over by woody shrubs and invasives. Less work than having to mow every week though.
I’m no HOA enforcer and would never complain myself, but it starts to look a little ghetto when the grass is several feet tall with seeds. Complete the trifecta with a rusted out pickup on blocks and a tree that should have been cut a decade ago with its trunk against the house.
Would you buy a house in a neighborhood where a bunch of the houses look like this? Now imagine you already own here and people start doing this..
That’s an extreme though and Karen’s really do look for things to complain about. I had one report me to the city for a 5 gallon plastic bucket that sat in my yard for a week
@APBear76 I like to let my yard get a little unruly. Within reason though. The neighboring house of one of my rentals has 3 ft high grass right now. Never thought I’d be that guy but it brings down the neighborhood.
