🎉 Huge congrats to Loyola postdoc @rishi30_sls and the lab on their groundbreaking findings published in Nature Communications! 📚🔬 Uncovering the role of CaMKK2 and ATR-CHK1 in STN1's fork protective function sheds light on the crucial link to cancer development.
Congratulations to @avanderplow and @RoccoGogliotti for representing @LoyolaChicago at an international conference with a successful presentation at #OTS23! Great job!
Falling behind: postdocs in their thirties tire of putting life on hold.

It’s been a month since we made our letter to President Reed public, and ~5 months since we first sent the letter directly him, with no direct response. This silence has left us feeling unheard and undervalued, resulting in a complete loss of faith in the administration.

She not only organized the CCC event but also handcrafted cards of appreciation for every postdoc on campus, ensuring that all of Loyola’s postdocs felt truly valued. Thank you, @JaroslavaNKA! 🙌 #PostdocAppreciationWeek”
We would like to give a huge shoutout to @JaroslavaNKA for her incredible dedication during National Postdoc Appreciation Week! ☕🍪 She organized and funded our Coffee, Cookies, and Chat (CCC) event for all the postdocs at @LoyolaChicago. 🙌 #PostdocAppreciationWeek

Thank you to all our colleagues for the amazing work you do! Without you, graduate students DON'T get degrees, papers DON'T get published, grants DON'T get funded, and PIs DON'T get tenure. Let’s hope @LoyolaChicago come to their senses and pay us a fair wage!
This is a major victory for our union, and it is thanks to our members’ stalwart solidarity. We stand in solidarity with the over 25,000 UE graduate workers across the country who are fighting to achieve the same protections that we have won through years of organizing.
It’s been 7 days since our letter to @LoyolaChicago‘s president went public. We are advocating for fair and competitive pay for all Loyola’s postdocs. PIs are discussing it, but we’ve yet to hear from the administration. We’re waiting, and the scientific community is watching!
