@Manchester2USA@hjwakerley Very much depends on the nameplate and powertrain with JLR. Some of the products are pretty reliable, but are tarnished with the same unreliability brush as everything else.
@sargeant_gail@hjwakerley@hector_jenkins8 There's a real buzz about service advising when the metaphorical plates are spinning and things are going well, but it doesn't take much for those plates to end up in a million pieces on the floor 😂 I miss it, but that said, I definitely wouldn't go back!
@sargeant_gail@hjwakerley@hector_jenkins8 I was a service advisor for Audi, JLR and Tesla for 8 years in total at the start of my career. My last three jobs have been with OEMs in corporate roles. I earn way more with the manufacturers whilst being considerably less stressed, but the job satisfaction is not even close.

@RBashal@beefstu78@MercedesBenz Which dealer group did you buy the car from? e.g. Group 1, LSH Auto, Marshall, Sytner? The dealer is usually a franchise partner of Mercedes and not Mercedes themselves, so it's worth complaining to them as well. If you tell me who, I'll try and find the CEO's email address.
@RBashal@beefstu78@MercedesBenz Send an email to the CEO of the dealer group you ordered the car from. They'll concede on that all day long. I'd expect Merc (as in the car manufacturer, not the franchise dealer) will offer a goodwill gesture if you complain to them, too.
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Xabi Alonso as Manager of the Men’s Team.
The Spaniard will begin his role on July 1, 2026, having agreed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Welcome to Chelsea, Xabi!
@MartinSLewis@TheFCA Hi Martin, a friend has complained through a law firm, we've tried to cancel but the exit fees are disproportionate and extortionate. They're refusing to budge so we've complained to the Legal Ombudsman, but their response isn't expected until the end of May. Any advice, please?
In the Roman era this would have been wrapped up by 9pm tonight, done deal, welcome to Chelsea, who would you like Sir, Guehi or Bastoni?
The new Chelsea have given the job to an apprentice
I’ve had managers like Ancelotti, Mourhino, Conte and Tuchel at my club and now I’m expected to be bouncing off the walls at the shit the clubs now bringing in, get fucked
We welcome Liam Rosenior to Chelsea and will support him as our manager.
But we do not believe this appointment reflects the level required to lead an elite football club like Chelsea.
That is not a criticism of the individual. It’s a criticism of a sporting structure that continues to appoint managers who do not unite a disconnected fan base, lack elite-level experience, and are expected to operate within a rigid model.
This appointment also reinforces a deeper issue: a micromanagement culture and constant interference that must end under the current sporting structure.
This is why our protest is not about the manager, the players, or results.
It is about the ownership model and sporting structure led by Behdad Eghbali, and implemented by Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.
The protest at the Brentford game will give fans with and without tickets the chance to make their voices heard. We expect significant numbers and extraordinary noise.
This will not be action taken in isolation.
@wanjitech Agreed. You've only got to look at the gap between Kimi and Lando at the end, he wouldn't of caught Max if he'd stayed out on the older mediums. Don't see the point in playing it safe in these circumstances 🙃
