On the subject of UFOs, which is this subject, not all subjects, the President that actually has reliable information about UFOs being in the possession of the government will--if they are inclined to disclose it--will do so from the Oval Office personally for several reasons:

1. That broadcast will be the most important one in history, and will be played and replayed as long as the human species exists. It will NOT BE HANDED TO JOURNALISTS IN A FUCKING MANILLA ENVELOPE BY SOME WHITE HOUSE FLUNKIE.
2. THIS President will want to reassure the nation that is in control of the situation, but probably wouldn't want to take questions off the cuff, because of the momentous nature of the event. He won't want to be surprised or wrong-footed by something. He'll want a clean recording.
3. When Clinton thought that they'd found evidence of biological life on Mars, he announced it in the press room, personally, but that was Clinton. He loved the back & forth.
