Before questioning those in uniform, remember what our soldiers do for the country every single day.

They guard our borders, protect our roads and stand in places where most of us would never want to be. They endure hardships every day that many of us cannot even imagine.

And remember, our soldiers are taxpayers too. They pay taxes like every other citizen—they are not tax-free.

Rights matter, but so do responsibilities. Respect the uniform. Respect those who serve. 🇮🇳

Against the majestic Himalayan backdrop, the final came alive amid spirited cheers. Every sprint tested endurance, every tackle reflected determination and every strike sent excitement soaring—before the *Army team defeated Sherthang Police 1–0 to lift the coveted trophy.*

Culminating on India’s *80th Independence Day*, the tournament honoured the inspiring legacy of *Lt Gen Sagat Singh*, celebrated the indomitable spirit of Sikkim’s youth and strengthened the enduring bond between the #IndianArmy and the people of #Sikkim.

🇳🇵NEPALESE GORKHAS WANT TO SERVE IN THE INDIAN ARMY AGAIN

Former Gorkha soldiers and supporters protested in Pokhara, Nepal, demanding the resumption of recruitment of Nepali youths into the Indian Army under the Agnipath scheme.

They argue that joining the Indian Army remains a far better opportunity than low-paid Gulf employment, while also preserving a military tradition that has linked India and Nepal for over two centuries.

The protest comes days before Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth’s scheduled five-day visit to Nepal from August 16.

Nepal halted Gorkha recruitment under Agnipath amid concerns over the four-year service model and post-service prospects.
