Such efforts under Operation Sadbhavana not only promote sportsmanship and youth engagement but also deepen military-civil cooperation, contributing to the vision of vibrant and self-confident frontier communities.

ASSAM RIFLES ANNUAL DIRECTOR GENERALS’ CONCLAVE HELD AT NEW DELHI
The Annual Director Generals’ Conclave of #AssamRifles was held at Manekshaw Centre on 08 March 2026. The conclave was chaired by Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles and was attended by former Directors General and senior officers of the Force.
The conclave provided an important platform for interaction between the present leadership and former Director Generals of the Force. Discussions focused on key operational aspects, organisational development and the evolving security environment in the North East and along the Indo-Myanmar border.
The Director General expressed his appreciation for the invaluable contributions of former Directors General in shaping the legacy and professionalism of Assam Rifles. The interaction also enabled an exchange of ideas and experiences aimed at further strengthening the capabilities, traditions and ethos of the Force in service of the nation.
