How does someone with this history EVER get another chance to do this?
Donald Crayton had NEVER been issued a driver’s license and had already been convicted in another fatal driving case.
Then in 2024, investigators say he intentionally struck his live-in girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter as they were crossing the street to get pizza. The little girl lost her life, and her mother suffered serious injuries.
Crayton fled, abandoned his car and was later captured after another driver allegedly led police on a high-speed pursuit.
And when he stood before the judge expressing remorse, the judge reminded him that he had said essentially the same thing after the previous fatal crash...but he still only got 20 years.
Seriously? How could that possibly be a strong enough sentence for taking the life of an innocent 4-year-old?
