really wish that the goal of "firing on all cylinders" included balance. The overwatch we are playing today is an amalgamation of different failed design philosophies. The vision behind OP tanks and the S9 patch has been completely lost, yet we still deal with the negative side effects of it. That along with failed reworks, long response times to major balance issues, and giving low skill ceiling heroes too much prominence makes it feel like they stopped caring. If there was ever a time to make major changes and establish a new vision it would've been with the rank reset at the start of the season, but that came and went with mostly just changes to perks. I'm hesitant to be too loud about my frustrations because the reality is it doesn't really effect the bottom 80% of the player base that much and the rest of the game is really good. There's already enough negativity around the game and I don't want to be a creator that contributes to that especially when sentiment is on the rise. However I think it is important because balance frustration from top players and streamers tends to trickle down.

To clarify, this isn't necessarily a S9 hate post. I just think its time to take a step back and decide where we want to go from here. Either remind ourselves of the goals with season 9 and get back on track or start from scratch with something new. Either of these options would be better than the weird limbo we are in right now.
