There is a simple way to lower crime.

Have the criminal fear the victim.

But here in Canada, the criminals has more rights than the victim. If someone breaks into my home and slips on a broken step and breaks his leg, I can get sued for not having a safe step. If I use deadly force to stop my family from being killed in home invasion, I get charged and spend the rest of my life paying off the lawyer bill keeping me out of jail.

THAT is what's wrong with Canada and it's rising crime.

So we have 3 options:

1. Strengthen laws to keep repeat offenders in jail.
2. Deport anyone who is not a Canadian and commits an indictable offense.
3. Consider "Stand your ground" type law for citizens to be able to protect themselves.

Because the way this shit show is going here in Canada, the time is coming where police won't get called and the people will start dealing with criminals on their own. After all, the courts fail us and don't keep criminals in jail anyways.
