Why do election campaigns ignore disability rights? Is it because disability isn't hereditary and thus dispersed unlike caste or religion? Or do we just prefer the charity lens? It's time to recognize the power of the disability votebank! Read more in this article co-authored by me for @ThePrintIndia with @SanskritiBhatia. #Vote4Accessibility

Spent another productive weekend as a part of @LedByFoundation's Accelerator program. The session was personalized and interactive. I learned about making my resume better and writing a good cover letter.

I spent a gorgeous day volunteering for an event on Last Mile Deliveries using Electric Vehicles(EV). Got to know the matrix of EV, the challenges, and the future. Volunteering is the best opportunity to learn more about the unexplored!

Had a wonderful interaction with @krsureshreddy, Member of Parliament of @BRSparty where @rohitkr_RK from @ylacofficial and I presented the Charter of Demands for Persons with Disabilities which he wholeheartedly endorsed.
We spoke on disability, states and the centre. Gained rich insights on the role state legislative committees can play in empowering PwDs.
I urge you to endorse the charter too and let all leaders know that PwDs too have a voice #Vote4Accessibility

Thank you @Amar4Odisha from @bjd_odisha for endorsing the Charter Of, by and for Persons with Disabilities in the lead up to the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. It was great to see you looking at PwDs as a national asset and not through the lens of Charity.
Do endorse the charter at https://t.co/RWzLQEHDoM

My major takeaway today at the orientation of @LedByFoundation's Accelerator program was that the world perceives us the way we perceive ourselves. It was insightful listening to @mehseer ma'am. Super excited about this journey of upskilling myself.

We adopted one of the 5 prestigious Rashtriya military school for this year's NDA exam. (NDA 2) ❤️🇮🇳
The institution allowed us without taking any demo class as students and faculty there already knew us .
We'll be teaching these students offline at their campus and we are charging the fee of 101 rs for whole course unlike coachings who used to take 15-20k... 😄 additionally we'll be taking online class of our batches from here, so it'll be a long and enriching journey and we're are grateful to RMS Dholpur who gave us this opportunity to play a part in making Bharat Proud.
Sar neeche aur apni mehnat... honesty rakho zindagi me bahut kuch milega ❤️❤️
8 years post-RPWD Act, and @KalindiCollege's 'accessibility' for my talk was an upside-down table for a ramp.
Invited to speak about life on a wheelchair & social entrepreneurship, yet faced a glaring irony: no ramp to access the hall and was later utterly appalled that @EnactusKalindi’s solution to their inaccessible hall was an upside-down table as a ramp. This isn't just inadequate; it's unsafe & demeaning. "Compounding the insult, they pleaded, 'Other speakers have backed out, please don't do the same.' Disgraceful."
@KalindiCollege's neglect of accessibility for disabled individuals is unacceptable. In this day and age, such oversight is not just disappointing; it's a blatant disregard for equal rights. We demand immediate action to rectify this glaring failure.
