💰 Institutional investors are happily buying Bitcoin

The introduction of Bitcoin ETFs has made it much easier to buy Bitcoin. This is reflected in the fact that institutional investors are only now entering the market, while some are already buying more. As the latest 13F filings show, Goldman Sachs is leading the pack, holding over USD 400 million in various Bitcoin ETFs.

🔄 Remarkably, the Wisconsin state pension fund, which had already purchased USD 160 million worth of Bitcoin ETF shares last quarter, has now bought another USD 15 million worth of shares. The Michigan Pension Fund is also a holder of bitcoins - it currently holds USD 6.5 million in Bitcoin ETFs.

🛒 As far as total inflows into Bitcoin ETFs are concerned, these were significantly lower in the second quarter at $2 billion compared to $12 billion in the first quarter. In the third quarter, which is only halfway through, inflows of $4 billion have already been recorded again. The increase in 13F filings for Bitcoin also shows that institutions' appetite for Bitcoin is not yet satiated.

🕵 Trading in Ethereum ETFs has been open since 23 July. The Grayscale product (ETHE) recorded outflows of more than USD 2.3 billion. Inflows from other ETFs have not yet been able to fully offset these outflows, resulting in net outflows from Ethereum ETFs totalling USD 366 million.
