Congrats Matthew O’Brien & Lucas Bonham! They were Awarded for their outstanding play in 2026 by @BigWestSports

O’Brien, our Senior Ace was named
to the All Big West Conference 2nd Team!

He led the Highlanders in innings pitched (77.2) and strike outs (40) & pitched the first Highlander complete game since 2022 in his win over Cal Poly.

OB also had big wins over UC San Diego and Cal State Northridge.

Bonham was selected an Honorable Mention in the Big West Conference!

Lucas played in 47 games for the Highlanders across third base shortstop and second base. He also saw at bats as the designated hitter.

He led UCR in Homers (9), Slugging (.434) and Total Bases (79).

Showing exciting pop off his bat all season, Bonham had a two Home Run game against CSU Bakersfield and hit the most HR’s in a UCR baseball season since 2021.
