On 07/28/23, the Lucas County OVI Task Force will conduct 2 sobriety checkpoints. Located at 6355 Angola Road in Springfield Township, and 13502 Airport Highway in Swanton Township. The checkpoints will be in operation during the hours of 8:00 pm thru 2:00 am.

Deputy Sheriffs Valentina Allen and Michael Byrd stopped by Mrs. Dzabula’s Pre-K classroom at McTigue Elementary School, where Deputy Allen’s mother is the foster grandmother of the class. The deputies treated the kids to gifts and story time.
