Because of this we are launching the back to basics initiative. It is our entire goal to bring back the finest elements and features that existed in fan favorite games like Bad Company 2, BF3 and BF4. No more reinventing the wheel or putting a new spin on things that were not broken.

Over the next 6 months to a year we plan on doing and adding the following:

4-10 classic proven Battlefield maps slowly being rolled out over the next two years on top of new maps as we address issues with current maps
Server Browser like BC2,BF3 and BF4
Customer server ability like BC2,BF3 and BF4
Platoons and community building
Squad and spotting system from BF1
Lighting system and techniques from BF1
Proper directional audio and enemy audio
Armor play that mirrors BF3/BF4
Air play that mirrors BF3/BF4
Overhauling the destruction system
Open world proximity chat - Able to be turned off, muted, or bad actors reported
Proper in game stat tracking with all the details you would expect

We know that Battlefield 6 can be an exceptional title that competes with the best in the franchise, now it is time to show you. Let us get back to basics and build an exceptional Battlefield together.
