gives you mad perspective of how lucky some of us are to live the life we do.
how to break your week into a NBA series:
Game 1 (Monday):
You’re not trying to drop 50. You’re scouting.
Where is your time actually disappearing?
What distractions keep showing up?
What work moves the needle the most?
How’s your energy?
You’re learning the defense.
Game 2 (Tuesday):
Now you’ve got film.
You know what’s working and what isn’t. Tighten the rotations. Cut the wasted possessions. Stack another solid performance.
Go up 2-0 if you can.
If you’re 1-1, who cares? The series is just getting started.
Game 3 (Wednesday):
This is where momentum is built.
Stick to what won you the first two games. Don’t suddenly abandon the game plan because you had one bad quarter.
Championships are won through consistency, not highlights.
Game 4 (Thursday):
The swing game.
Win this and you’re one game away from closing the series.
Lose it and you’ve given the opponent life.
Protect the lead. Stay disciplined. Execute.
Game 5 (Friday):
Close.
Don’t start experimenting because you can see the weekend.
Finish the job.
Great teams know how to put a series away.
Game 6 (Saturday):
Maybe you already won the series.
Maybe you’re fighting to stay alive.
Either way, show up.
Some of the biggest performances happen when your back’s against the wall.
Game 7 (Sunday):
Everything you’ve done this week comes together here.
Review the tape.
What actually worked?
What lost you possessions?
What deserves another season?
What gets cut from the roster?
Rinse & repeat until you have more championships then Bill Russell
