I’m not too sensitive. I just care about the little things because if I can’t trust you with the little stuff how can I trust you with the things that mean the most to me.
@cheyenne_izzo @saragrummert Hi Cheyenne, from this weeks lecture it’s crazy to hear all student athletes do. From managing full time classes and a very booked sports schedule they have to maintain a gpa to keep their scholarship.

In this weeks lecture, the professor shines a light on the graduation rates for black male athletes. There is a great disparity between other races.
@averg003 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely STEM majors are essential harder to keep up with because of course loads and game schedules. It’s very sad if an athlete wants to be a STEM major because it’s harder

From this weeks topic i learned how hard it is for student athletes, to reach their goal profession. Due to course selection #Ucr150

The NCAA's 'Restitution Rule' allows for the exploration of a player once an injunction is vacated. This is very unfair to the players.
@MTownsend_77@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar It’s very sad to see that athletes are given very little from the NCAA. From this course i have learned that many athletes are forced to keep quiet about many things. @MisssNallely @rabea_qamar #Ucr150
@ucrbrooke @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely Hi Brooke, i completely agree with you. This is where we notice that athletes aren’t treated fairly. It brings the question,”does the ncaa care about their athletes or just the winning streak?”
Today i was made aware that not all students Althetes get full paid scholarships. I believe it’s unfair that students don’t receive financial compensation for their participation. Scholarships should cover all expenses of students. @rabea_qamar @MissNallely#ucr150
@MariaSe87639541 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely Yes, It’s ridiculous that students health is exploited like this. Many athletes are also scared to come forward due to loosing their positions.
It is very troubling that student athletes won’t report their head injuries. It’s tha coaches duty to protect the welfare of athletes, yet many go unreported. All due to the player being afraid of loosing their position.

Inequality in sports still exists. In major league sports we can see that male sports receive more support and are more popular than women sports. Although there are policies such as title 9. Society has normalized inequality in sports. #ucr150
