@DTimchishen We made it to the third field before needing the tape. Might be a new record. 1-2 years for hoses. We keep adding more steel pipe which is helping. Trying Agristainless new extreme hose. Really like it so far. If it lasts as long as they say it’ll be a no brainer
@T_Bartman Haven’t had the best luck on Amazon. I get most of my stuff from Newark or digi key. They aren’t great for searchability but have good selection. Find a deutch connector book and get the numbers you need and search that way is best
@Beaudrybilly@ShelbourneReyno I’ve got one I would consider selling. As long as you can start picking up some crop it will pull up the rest and do a nice job in lodges areas. Best if going crossways or straight into the lean. I’ve used it in damp and green straw and it worked well just taking the grain off
@Mullin_95 We use google drive for everything farm related. Just have a google doc to write everything in. Fieldview isn’t compatible with our equipment, tried a few other apps and found this to be simplest for us.
@shanefalk@belchimcanada We’ve been doing 1/2 rate at herbicide and 1/2 at flag fungicide when the timing works out. If timing is off (herbicide really early) we have been doing a separate pass. We haven’t compared it ourselves I think there’s data out there though.
@WallaceFarmsMB We quit plugging runs and just do solid seeded now for the last few years. Did a few trials and never any difference. Only negatives are seed depth is harder to check b/c they are so spaced out in row and they maybe help each other push through crust in wider rows
@nozzle_guy is anyone making a battery-electric water pump for spray trailers? I feel that should be pretty easy to do. Pump only runs maybe a few hours a day and just plug in the charger when you’re done overnight.
@nozzle_guy There’s plenty online about replacing 20+ hp gas engines in go karts. Pricing didn’t seem too bad either. Not sure what kind of duty cycle they can handle. But for waiter trailer weight isn’t a concern so could build everything a lot heavier duty
@DtotheIzzoAcres Usually 3 and then start on far side. Seed extra headland pass when going back to trucks to fill so sometimes end up with a lot of headland
@scott_perkin Ground drive piston pump with 3 way valve flow meter and section control with pressure gauge for each section, teejet variable rate nozzles. Run through Trimble gps. Would like centrifugal pump, otherwise happy with it. Use suction and pressure filters and haven’t had any plugs
Bunch of cultivator shovels, knock on adapters and stub guards for macdon swather(30ft) all collecting dust. Let's make an offer and put them to use!
Retweets appreciated!
Have a 30’ hardi sprayer boom and valves from a 3pt sprayer that’s getting a 60’ boom. If anyone has use for one make me an offer. Boom is in good shape.
