De Tweede Kamer heeft de Wet werkelijk rendement Box 3 aangenomen. Dat betekent dat de manier waarop vermogen wordt belast vanaf 2028 mogelijk ingrijpend verandert, en dat raakt ook cryptobeleggers.

Belangrijk om te weten: de wet is nog niet definitief. De Eerste Kamer moet er nog over stemmen, naar verwachting vóór eind maart 2026.

De kern van het nieuwe stelsel? Belasting wordt straks gebaseerd op het werkelijke rendement, inclusief waardestijgingen op papier. Ook als je niets verkoopt, kun je dus belasting verschuldigd zijn.

Terug van weggeweest

Ergens in een map op onze server staan veertig columns. Geschreven in 2021, in een jaar dat het cryptodomein van allerlei kanten bejubeld én belaagd werd. Aan het ene uiterste van het spectrum stonden de speculanten te trappelen om het nieuwe digitale goud te delven. Aan de andere kant roerden zich de sceptici, die bitcoin afdeden als een piramidespel of een niet serieus te nemen grap. @AmdaxNL besloot destijds het tegenwicht te zijn. Niet door harder te roepen, maar door beter te duiden. En zo ontstond de Aldus Amdax.

Tussen reuring en rumoer
Wie door die veertig columns bladert, ziet hoe snel het domein zich in die vijf jaar bewogen heeft. Hypes vlamden op en doofden even snel weer uit. China verbood bitcoin voor de zoveelste keer, El Salvador omarmde ‘m. NFT's explodeerden en implodeerden. En toch, tussen reuring en rumoer bleef de rode draad intact. Bitcoin is geen roemloze dood gestorven, sterker nog: het netwerk groeit en de fundamentele vragen over ons geldsysteem zijn urgenter dan ooit.

Gebalanceerd geluid
De wereld van cryptoactiva is groter en relevanter geworden dan we in 2021 konden voorzien. Toch blijft het lastig om een gebalanceerd geluid te vinden in de ruis van mainstream media. De behoefte daaraan is echter groot, want onze klanten hebben heldere informatie nodig om hun keuzes te onderbouwen. Een eerlijk verhaal, voorbij de schreeuwende koppen. Dus hier zijn we weer, met een tweewekelijkse Aldus Amdax, geschreven door mensen die dagelijks midden in het cryptodomein staan.

Standpunt zonder dogma
Elke editie van de Aldus Amdax is geworteld in dat domein. Zij sluit aan op een actuele ontwikkeling, een hardnekkig misverstand, een concept dat uitleg verdient, of gewoon op iets wat ons is opgevallen en wat we willen delen. Hierbij permitteren wij ons een mening en schuwen we de discussie niet. We schrijven vanuit een standpunt, maar niet vanuit een dogma. Want hoewel we onverminderd overtuigd zijn van de meerwaarde van digitale assets voor de toekomst van ons financiële systeem, zijn we zeker niet blind voor de risico's en de complexiteit.

Kortom: de cryptomarkt verdient betere duiding dan hij doorgaans krijgt. Die proberen we hier te geven. Soms zul je het met ons eens zijn en een andere keer zal het schuren. Mooi. Dat is precies de dialoog die we zoeken.

AMBTS successfully closes Initial Financing Round
Following the recent establishment of AMBTS B.V. (‘AMBTS’) by Amdax, we announce the closing of our Initial Financing Round (IFR). The round was capped at an aggregate investment of EUR 30 million and closed successfully. The strong investor demand underscores the interest in @ambts_eu's strategy to build an independent bitcoin treasury company. With the closing of the IFR, AMBTS is fully funded to commence its bitcoin accumulation programme.

The closing of this round is an important milestone in our journey. We now move forward with our bitcoin strategy aiming to offer investors transparent access to this unique asset class. Thanks to all who support us!

Following the recent establishment of AMBTS B.V. (‘AMBTS’) by Amdax, we hereby announce that a number of investors have committed approximately EUR 20 million in an initial financing round following private placements. With this, the minimum goal of the financing round has been achieved. AMBTS aims to close the investment round in September 2025, which will be capped at an aggregate investment of EUR 30 million.

The initial financing round is an important step in the journey to establish an independent Bitcoin treasury company with a listing on Euronext Amsterdam. Upon completion, the proceeds are expected to be used to make a head start with the bitcoin accumulation strategy. AMBTS is in advanced stages of its preparations for the listing on Euronext Amsterdam through an initial public offering.

A day to remember!

Today the good news finally arrived from the Dutch @AutoriteitFM: @AmdaxNL has obtained its MiCAR licence.

This is a recognition of the tremendous work our team has done to meet Europe’s stringent requirements for crypto-service providers.

We deliberately invested in the quality and transparency our sector so urgently needs. That required months of effort—not only from our Legal team, but from all of our colleagues.

I am extremely proud of the result of their tireless dedication and perseverance. This is a milestone for Amdax because it shows we can turn our ambitions into action.

The granting of this licence is a milestone not only because we will officially operate under MiCAR, but above all because it confirms that long-term vision pays off. 🚀
