I travel a lot on remote roads with absolutely no service. Today I was testing out Roger’s Satellite to Mobile. This screen record was taken in a car that was moving. Connectivity is decent and things seem to load decent for a SAT connection! Definitely worth it for remote travel
Took the #drone up over Tusket, #NS today to capture the view. The haze from the #forestfires to our west definitely changed the scenery, giving the sun a deeper orange glow and casting a subtle orange tint across the sky and landscape. #ShareYourWeather@weathernetwork
Where I live we surprisingly don’t have Bell Fibre. Our only options were Eastlink, Xplornet, or Starlink. Eastlink’s lines in our area were very congested and the service was often slow and spotty, so we decided to try Starlink.
Since switching to Starlink we’re getting about 400–500 Mbps down and 30–70 Mbps up with very low latency. Everything feels much faster and stable. Just note they don’t include a house mount, so you’ll need to buy a compatible one.
We’ve had a pretty significant amount of snow this season. Normally at my location, we’d still see patches of grass and milder temperatures, but it’s been consistently below zero for quite some time here in Sluice Point, NS. #ShareYourWeather
