It’s really unfortunate that I’m apparently in the minority with this opinion. Then again, I really can’t blame people for feeling this way, since this episode definitely could have been much better than what we got, and both Subaru himself and the fans deserved better. It’s kind of disheartening when you can share your own joy with only a small part of the fandom.

The Re:Zero fandom is truly a tragic and toxic space, to be honest. I wish we were mature enough to critique with delicacy. White Fox gave us so many amazing episodes, not just from S4 but from previous seasons as well, episodes which were not only amazing because of the content but also because of the stellar direction and overall production.

But the moment we get a mediocre episode, instead of constructive and encouraging criticism, we proceed to tarnish everything they've worked for and wish for a change in studio. An episode ago, I saw nothing but praise, but a single slip-up and everything crumbles.

This fan base is inherently ungrateful towards not just the anime but even the novels. I remember the hate for Arc 6 even before it was over, as well as Arc 7. They are so quick to attack the amazing people working on #ReZero and Tappei himself.

Of course, I'm not saying everything is perfect on the studio's side. I have a lot of complaints, but it doesn't warrant me harassing and insulting the team.

Re:Zero is a story I feel is inherently better as literature, even more so Arc 6. The fact that they are giving it their all for this adaptation deserves praise. We've seen what really horrible adaptations of stories look like. Please try to stay positive.

I think Re Zero fans need a wake up call cuz an episode with 10/10 content should still be a 10/10 even if its adaptation isn't the greatest thing in the universe.

Imo it's a pretty weakass mindset to not see the value in something that you were expecting to be different.
