You ever realise how a lot of those types of people don't seem to understand how social media works? They're like boomers - they think everything they see on social media is like early days Facebook, where people had to actively send you stuff for you to see it.

They act like every tweet they see is us sending it to them directly, like we're petitioning them to pay attention to us, instead of the opposite: they're cruising the internet looking for things to start ranting about.

Like walking into a cafe, sitting at a stranger's table and announcing that you think their conversation is boring.

To be less snarky, I do think lots of Americans grow up in areas where "grocery store" means a massive supermarket with it's own parking lot you have to drive to. The idea that in a walkable city you have just normal sized stores that sell groceries is hard to fathom.

I applied for a company which said it offered trans-inclusive medical insurance which would cover surgeries (unheard of in the uk!). I had 2 interviews which went really well, then they ghosted me. The job offer was quietly reposted without the line about trans healthcare 🙃
